Feeling stuck in your head, do thoughts spiral around, feeling overwhelmed or unsure why you feel the way you do?
You may look like you’re coping on the outside, getting through each day, managing responsibilities, carrying on as expected. But inside, something doesn’t feel quite right.
You might find yourself overthinking, going round in circles, or feeling alone with thoughts you don’t fully understand. Perhaps you feel disconnected from yourself, unsure what you want, or questioning why certain situations, especially in relationships affect you so strongly.
Sometimes this becomes more noticeable during life changes, such as a relationship shift, loss, career change, or a point where what once felt meaningful no longer fits.
Or it can simply be a growing sense that something isn’t quite working anymore.
You might find yourself asking:
At times, you may also notice:
These experiences can feel confusing, frustrating, and at times quite lonely.
But they are also meaningful. They often signal that something within you is ready for attention, understanding, and change.
I offer a calm, supportive, and confidential space where you can begin to explore what’s going on for you, at your own pace, in your own way, guiding you to make sense of your thoughts and feel less alone.
Together, we can gently make sense of what feels stuck or unclear, understand patterns that may be keeping you where you are, and reconnect with what truly matters to you.
This isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you understand yourself more deeply, so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose.
If something here resonates, please get in touch.
I offer a free, informal introductory call so you can get a sense of me and how I work, and decide whether this feels like the right support for you.
A bit about me & How I work
Welcome to my website, I am Michele.
I know what it feels like to look like you’re coping on the outside, while internally something doesn’t feel quite right. Earlier in my career, I worked in the corporate IT world, long hours, constant pressure, and always striving for the next goal. From the outside, things looked successful, but inside I felt increasingly disconnected and unsure of what it was all for.
That experience became a turning point. It led me to pause, reflect, and begin to understand myself more deeply, what I was feeling, why I felt stuck, and what needed to change.
I chose to step away. Travel, self-reflection, and new experiences helped me reconnect with myself and reimagine a life built around purpose rather than pressure. That decision set me on the path to becoming a therapist.
Over the past 20 years I’ve worked as a Therapeutic Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, Health Kinesiologist, and Counsellor. These experiences have shown me the deep connection between mind and body and how life’s unprocessed emotions can impact both. Today, I draw on this holistic understanding to support clients in navigating their own journeys of change.
I believe that when you feel stuck in your thoughts or unsure why you feel the way you do, there is often something important underneath that needs understanding, not fixing.
Therapy offers a space to slow things down and gently make sense of what’s going on.
Together, we can explore your thoughts, emotional responses, and patterns, especially in relationships, so they begin to feel clearer and less overwhelming.
While we can’t always control what life brings, we can begin to understand how we experience it and how we respond. This understanding often creates space for change, helping you feel less stuck, less alone, and more able to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
I see therapy as a place where you can talk openly without judgement, make sense of thoughts and feelings that feel confusing or overwhelming, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and explore new ways of relating and communicating.
Alongside my training, my own life experiences have shown me how complex relationships can be, and how easy it is to lose yourself while trying to manage everything life brings.
This helps me meet you not just as a therapist, but as someone who understands how difficult it can feel at times.
Clients often describe me as calm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to, someone who helps them feel understood and less alone with what’s going on internally.
If you’re feeling stuck in your thoughts, unsure why you react the way you do, or finding relationships difficult to navigate, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

My approach is to provide a calm, supportive space for adults (18+) to explore the impact of life’s changes and discover new ways forward. I work integratively, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic perspectives and adapt them to suit your unique needs. You’ll receive a tailored approach that meets you where you are — in both mind and body.
In our work together, I may bring in:
I offer weekly short-term therapy, where we focus on a particular issue, weekly longer-term therapy, which allows us to work more deeply on past experiences, patterns, and questions of identity and purpose. I also offer Single Session Therapy. Together, we can decide what feels most helpful for you.
Following is further information about Single Session Therapy.
Single Session Therapy for Loss of Purpose
There are times in life when the sense of who we are or what we’re here for quietly fades. This can happen after major life changes, loss, burnout, retirement, relationship shifts, or when roles that once gave structure and meaning no longer fit. You may not feel “broken” — just disconnected, flat, or unsure what matters anymore. Single Session Therapy offers a focused space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what gives your life meaning.
How This Approach Can Help
This way of working recognises that you may not need months of therapy to begin finding your way again. Often, what’s missing is not effort or motivation, but clarity. At the beginning of the session, we take time to identify one
important issue you would most like help with. This becomes our shared focus for the conversation, helping the session feel contained, purposeful, and relevant to what matters most to you. From there, we work as if this may be the only session you attend. That allows us to use the time intentionally and stay grounded in what feels most important right now. Together, we will:
The aim is not to provide quick answers, but to help you leave with greater clarity, direction, and self-trust.
A Compassionate, Practical Way Forward
Losing a sense of purpose can feel unsettling and lonely, especially when life appears “fine” on the outside. Single Session Therapy provides a structured yet compassionate space to focus on what matters most to you, without pressure to solve everything at once. We concentrate on what will make the biggest difference now, whether that’s a shift in perspective, emotional relief, or a clearer sense of direction.
Is One Session Really Enough?
For some people, one session is enough to feel steadier, more hopeful, or reoriented. Others choose to return for further sessions as they continue exploring changes in their life. There is no obligation to continue. You remain in control of how much support you want.
Why Single Session Therapy?
This approach is based on the belief that meaningful change can begin with one focused, well-used conversation. Rather than revisiting the past repeatedly, therefore we prioritise, insight which brings relief and understanding that restores agency. Giving you actionable steps that feel achievable and aligned with your values. Single Session Therapy is not about rushing change, it’s about helping you reconnect with purpose in a way that feels authentic,
contained, and manageable.
At the heart of my approach, no matter whether you undertake short, long or single session therapy, is the relationship we build. With over 20 years’ experience, I know that therapy works best when there is trust, respect, and a sense of safety. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, reflection, and encouragement as you navigate change, rebuild confidence, and rediscover your sense of self.
Settling In – We begin by checking in with how you’re arriving that day, creating a moment to pause and ground before we begin.
Exploring What’s Present – You share what feels most important or pressing, whether that’s a current challenge, a transition you’re navigating, or feelings you’d like to understand more deeply.
Working Together – I listen carefully and ask gentle questions to help you explore your thoughts and feelings. Sometimes we might look at past experiences, other times we focus on what’s happening right now, and occasionally I may guide you to notice how your body is responding — as this can give useful clues about what you’re going through.
Reflection & Integration – Toward the end of the session, we take time to gather what has emerged, noticing any new perspectives or shifts.
Closing – We end in a grounded way, so you leave with a sense of steadiness and clarity to carry into your week.
Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the concerns you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or to arrange an initial call. All enquiries are treated in confidence. I aim to reply to messages within 24 hours (Mon - Fri). If you would prefer me to call you, please leave your name number and a suitable time to return your call.
I offer an introductory call where we get to know one another and for you to get a sense of me and how I work. We will explore what brings you to therapy, what changes you hope to see and discuss whether my expertise is the right fit for you. What is most important, is that you feel comfortable and safe speaking to me, and that I feel like the right fit for you.
There is no obligation and these and all ongoing sessions are strictly confidential and adhere to the ethical guidelines of the BACP. If we agree that we can work together we will progress to arranging a weekly counselling session.
My fees;
Introductory Call – Free
50-minute weekly session - £70
Single Session Therapy (On-line only, via Zoom) - £70
I run my In-Person practice from Surrey Holistic in Godalming.
I also provide counselling on-line and by phone.
The length of counselling is different for everyone and depends on the nature and depth of what you’re facing. For some, just a few sessions can bring clarity and a sense of direction. For others, a longer, open-ended approach allows the time and space needed to work through deeper issues or ongoing life transitions.
Before we begin, we’ll agree on an initial number of sessions and then review together how things are going. If we both feel further therapy would be helpful, sessions can continue for as long as you find them supportive and beneficial.
I offer a free introductory call so we can talk through what you’re looking for and see if working together feels like a good fit. From there, my aim is to offer you a first appointment within 1–2 weeks. We’ll then agree on a number of counselling sessions, meeting at a regular time each week that works for you. I currently have availability for new clients and will do my best to find a time that fits smoothly into your routine.
Everything you share in our sessions is private. This is one of the key ways counselling differs from talking to a friend or family member. As you become comfortable with the weekly sessions and the safe space they provide, many clients find that the freedom to speak openly and in confidence is incredibly valuable.
There are a few rare situations where I may need to break confidentiality, such as if you are at serious risk of harming yourself or others. In these cases, the law requires me to inform the appropriate authorities, but this only happens after I have discussed it with you. Breaking confidentiality is very uncommon, and my priority is always to keep you informed and supported.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous about starting therapy, and many people wonder if they can bring a friend or family member for support. I encourage you to come on your own because therapy works best when you have a private space to talk openly about what’s on your mind. Being on your own helps you explore your thoughts and feelings freely, while knowing that I am here to listen, support, and guide you every step of the way.
